(Equus), one of the nation’s leading private equity fund managers, announced today the sale of Madison Aspen Woods in Florissant, MO.&#160; The 435-unit apartment community was sold to Fireside Financial, LLC for $28,500,000.&#160; At the time of the sale the community was over 95 percent occupied.</p> <p>“The community’s generous unit sizes coupled with its attractive infill location resulted in strong investor interest,” commented Pete Naccarato who was responsible for overseeing the disposition for Equus.</p> <p>The Seller was represented by Ken Aston and Andrea Kendrick of Berkadia Real Estate Advisors.</p> <p>Madison Aspen Woods sits approximately 16 miles north of downtown St. Louis, within walking distance of the 335,000 square foot Shoppes at Cross Keys as well as numerous retail amenities located along nearby Lindbergh Boulevard.&#160; In addition, the property is located less than 3 miles from Interstate 270 which allows for convenient access to major employers across the St. Louis MSA. The garden style apartment community offers residents some of the largest floor plans in the market across a diverse mix of one, two, and three bedroom apartments. Fifty percent of the units at the property are townhomes. Community amenities on site include a pool with sundeck, landscaped courtyard, children’s playground, and clubhouse.&#160;</p> <p>An affiliate of Equus acquired Madison Aspen Woods in 2006 from a local private partnership.
